Peebles Pet Services has been providing burial services for pets for over 15 years at our dedicated Petland cemetery located off Hwy 64 right at the Oakland/Somerville borders. For some time now Petland has needed some major servicing requiring the surface to be leveled and graded to allow for proper water drainage, and a total re-sodding. Many of the pet headstones have become sunken or misaligned due to shifting ground and encroaching tree roots, and they all need to be cleaned, re-aligned, and leveled.

To accomplish this task properly we will need to temporarily remove all pet headstones to allow equipment to come in to fill sunken areas, followed by leveling, grading, and then re-sodding the entire pet cemetery. This will be a momentous task requiring precise measurement and marking of each pet’s grave, supported by photographic documentation, to allow us to remove then accurately replace each stone at its specific pet’s gravesite.

We are aware how important it is to retain the integrity of the precise location of each pet’s grave, and we are committed to do so during this process. We are taking extreme efforts to retain that integrity while expending significant expense and labor to bring our pet cemetery up to the standards our beloved furry family members deserve.
