  • What are your hours of operation?

We are available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 901-465-4343.  Our normal office hours are 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

  • May I visit your facility?

You are welcome to view our pet cremation facility anytime during normal office hours.  You may also schedule an appointment with one of our staff who would be more than happy to meet you and show you our facility at at a more convenient time, if necessary.  Our Petland Cemetery is always open and accessible to the public.

  • What happens to my departed pet after I leave him/her at the vet?

We will personally retrieve your pet and bring him/her back to our facility outside of Oakland, TN. Pets are always transported in one of our special PetMobiles which is uniquely marked with defining paw prints and our logo, and they never leave our sight or hands throughout the process.

  • My pet has a collar that I want back. What do you do with my pet's belongings?

When you contact us to arrange for cremation, please tell us of any belongings (collar, tags, blanket, etc.) that you would like to have returned, and we will be happy to do so.

  • How long does the actual cremation process take?

Cremation varies on the size of the pet.  A small animal may take approximately 2 hours, while a larger animal may take 3 to 4 hours to complete.

The time needed to have an animal ready to go back to its owner may also vary if there  is engraving or a special order urn required.

In general, we strive to have pets ready to "go home" within 48 hours of receipt.

  • You state that every cremation is a "private cremation." What does this mean?

Private cremation means that your pet is the only pet placed in our cremation chamber at the time.  Ashes are completely swept and removed after each procedure to ensure all of the cremains returned to you are only those of your pet.

  • How long does it take to get my pet back?

We understand the significance of the loss of a pet, so we endeavor to expedite, without compromising any degree of respect or dignity, the completion of the cremation process and available return of cremains to owners within 48 hours.  This objective may not always be achieved due to a number of different circumstances (special order urns, engraving, volume, weekends or holidays, etc.), but it remains our goal.

If cremains are to be returned to a veterinarian or a home residence, it may take a bit longer due to the need to schedule and coordinate transportation using our Petmobile.

  • What is the cost of cremation of my pet?

For updated pricing, please view the Pricing Page.

  • What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept credit cards, cash, or checks.  We request payment be made in advance of the actual cremation process.

We can receive cash or check payments when we pick up pets from a home, or if left for us at veterinarians' clinics.  Most payments are made via credit card over the phone for the convenience of the owner at the time we are contacted.
