Everyone who met Rodeo would agree he had a wonderful personality and could be quite a character. Rodeo was 15 years old when we had to make that dreaded decision to have him put down. He was mostly blind and partially deaf but he was still a loyal and loving member of the family. He was on special food and multiple medications to keep him healthy and as comfortable as possible. It wasn't until he started having seizures that we couldn't bare seeing him struggle day to day.
We only had Rodeo for 3 1/2 years, we adopted him as a 12 year old senior from a local shelter. He was owner surrendered for some reason. I couldn't wait to give him a loving home to finish out his life. It took him a little time to trust us and his 2 new k-9 siblings. Before we knew it, it was like he had always been a part of our family. I always knew our time with him would be limited. It makes me horribly sad to lose such a sweet boy, but I feel so very blessed to have had the opportunity to love him. I know he loved us too.
