Dipsie Palmer

d. June 12, 2020

Dipsie was a minature dachshund with a free spirited heart.  Upon my parents adoption of her over 10 years ago, it was "Katie, bar the door", since Dipsie could slip out like greased lightening.  Catching her was a neighborhood effort, because she could not only run, but hide in the flower beds because of her coat color. Her last two years of living dealt with treating her Cushings, which is a dietary challenge, since no meat products can be taken in by the dog.  However, she learned to love tuna, mackerel and fried eggs. Due to the Cushings and a minor back injury, she could not run, but she bounced, and despite losing sight in one eye, she knew where "Home" was and would bounce there for safety.  My husband and I can't say she was a care effort, but a joy.  Dipsie and we wish to encourage all with challenges, that with care givers love and support, living the good life can be attained.
