Big personalities come in small packages sometimes. This statement was true for our Callie-Loo-Ya. She was such a sweet, loving little dog that had everyone in our family wrapped around her little paw. We got Callie from MAS when she was five months old. We knew she had some physical disabilities but we knew she was supposed to be ours. We brought her home to join our other MAS furkid, Danny because he needed a buddy and Callie was perfect for him. He loved her from the start and the feeling was mutual. Callie couldn't really keep up with Danny but that didn't stop her from making the effort! One of her favorite things to do to her brother, who had floppy ears, was to go up to him, move his ear back with her nose and then give him one good BARK right in the ear. He was more patient than I might have been. All he would ever do was give her the "side eye". We know that Danny was right at the entrance of the Rainbow Bridge to welcome his little sister home and the JOY that they both felt warms our hearts. Callie was thirteen years old and had outlived veterinary life expectancy by six years. She was our baby, our princess and our little black and white bundle of love. She and Danny will always live in our hearts and memories.
