Bujo was rescued as a puppy from a shelter by our son. He was ill with intestinal problems but improved with careful treatment and attention. From day one he was very affectionate and loving and won our hearts, becoming an important part of our family.
He grew rapidly to about 90 pounds and had a beautiful brindle coat. As a Boxer/Pit Bull mix, he had a large head and broad jaw. Often people would find his appearance imposing, shying away from him when we took him out. The staff and vets at Eads Animal Hospital knew and loved him but some people would take their pets to the other side of the building when we brought him in. Ironically he was the most gentle of dogs who would never harm anyone or anything. Actually simple things such as bugs or leaves blowing across the yard would scare him and send him running.
Throughout his life he brought us joy and happiness and we centered our activities around him. He loved to snuggle in blankets and thought all blankets belonged to him. Despite his size and age, he continued to display puppy-like behavior in how he played and reacted to others
In his final months he was physically limited but we got satisfaction in keeping him comfortable and showing him affection as he has always shown us. He passed peacefully in his bed at home. We ask the Good Lord to allow us to be with him when we pass.
