After 13 years together, our sweet boy Gus made his journey across the rainbow bridge on Tues, August 29th, 2023, in the comfort of his home. His daddy and I are completely heartbroken. He was such a good boy and loved everyone he met. He was truly devoted to his daddy and reserved 98% of kisses and snuggles for Charlie, his person. He loved going on car rides, alerting us when visitors arrived, whether it be human or critters, and loved his space heater in the winter. He mourned when his fur sister, Darcy, left for the bridge back in 2021 and welcomed his little brother Dusty when he arrived to our family in 2022. He was eight weeks old when we drove to Georgia to bring him back to Tennessee to live and we knew the minute we met him, he would keep us on our toes with his silly antics and big personality. He excelled in obedience class, and he taught Dusty how to play and when “enough was enough”. In the end, despite numerous medications, severe arthritis and we suspect cancer, took over his lower body making it extremely difficult to walk or stand. We helped him cross over into peace where he’s now pain free, hopefully chasing squirrels with Darcy. We love you sweet boy, until we meet again.
